The Ford Maverick comes standard with a 2.5L I4 Hybrid powertrain configuration and FWD. There is an upgrade where you can get a 2.0L EcoBoost® powertrain with AWD. Both the Ford Maverick engine options are quite impressive, and there are three different aspects that affect your towing:
Ford Maverick models equipped with the hybrid powertrain and FWD can tow up to 2,000 pounds, as can models with the EcoBoost® engine and FWD or AWD. In order to reach the max towing capacity, you must choose the 2.0L EcoBoost® engine and AWD, and add the Ford Maverick 4K Tow Package.
