Our Reconditioning Guidelines
All reconditioned vehicles must be able to operate for one full year or 15,000 miles without the need for foreseeable repairs. Here’s everything we check:
- Wiper blades are clean near new, no tears or brittleness
- Exterior lighting is in full working order
- Air & cabin filters usable for specified duration
- Engine oil changed or fresh within 2,000 miles
- No warning lights are on
- All restrains are operable
- Tire sizes match front to rear and match brand by axle
- Tires have tread depth greater than 4/32” as measured with tire tread gauge
- Ride quality at legal speeds is normal, smooth, and comfortable
- Steering wheel is straight with no leads or pulls
- Steering and suspension components are tight and quiet
- Braking quality is normal and stops smoothly
- Front brakes have greater than 5mm thickness remaining
- Rear brakes have greater than 4mm thickness remaining
- Vehicle features & options are functional
- Fluid leaks which are active, reaching the ground, or will within 12/15K are addressed
- Hood, trunk, and all latches stay open or latched
- Windshield is not broken
- Battery is tested with a handheld battery conductive tester
